Disney princes have long played second fiddle to their princess counterparts.
Now Variety is reporting a change of tune, with the studio having picked up a spec script for a live-action comedy film called PRINCE CHARMING.
From a script by Matt Fogel (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the upcoming Bob: the Musical), PRINCE CHARMING will focus on the CINDERELLA prince's "brother who never lived up to the family name."
This live-action original joins the dance with Disney's upcoming BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, following up the studio's recent remake of CINDERELLA, helmed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Lily James and Richard Madden.
Mike Douglas provided the singing voice for 'Prince Charming' in the original 1950 animated film, with William Phipps in the speaking role, and Christopher Daniel Barnes lending his vocal talents to CINDERELLA's two sequels.
No word on who is being eyed for the lead. Tell us below who you'd like to see in the role!
