Disney Junior Block Delivers Top 3 Cable TV Series in Key Demo

For the week of May 6, 2013, 24-hour kid-driven, family-committed television network Disney Channel swept major youth demos for the 3rd straight week in Total Day in Kids 2-11 (863,000/2.2 rating), Kids 6-11 (512,000/2.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (444,000/1.9 rating), commemorating 100 consecutive weeks - or close to near two years - as TV #1 network in 6-11s and 9-14s.

Competitively, Disney Channel exceeded Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 79th straight week in Kids 6-11 (+32% - 512,000 vs. 389,000) and 81st in Tweens (+81% - 444,000 vs. 245,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as cable TV's #1 network to 419 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (913,000/3.9 rating - 8 years), 155 weeks in a row in Tweens 9-14 (781,000/3.3 rating - 3 years), and was the #2 network in Total Viewers (2.39 million).

The Disney Junior block on Disney Channel delivered the week's Top 3 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, Top 4 in Boys 2-5 and Top 4 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers.

The 24-hour Disney Junior Channel qualified as cable TV's #1 preschool-dedicated Total Day network for the 6th consecutive week - each week since reporting public ratings - in Total Viewers (324,000), Kids 2-5 (177,000/1.1 rating) and Boys 2-5 (108,000/1.3 rating).

Disney Junior Channel exceeded Nick Jr. by double digits for the 6th straight week in Kids 2-5 (+11% - 177,000 vs. 159,000) and Boys 2-5 (+42% - 108,000 vs. 76,000), and also led in Total Viewers (+5% - 324,000 vs. 310,000), despite being in nearly 17 million fewer homes.

Disney Junior Channel towered over Sprout by triple digits for the 6th week in a row across key demos Total Viewers (+135% - 324,000 vs. 138,000), Kids 2-5 (+172% - 177,000 vs. 65,000) and Boys 2-5 (+315% - 108,000 vs. 26,000).
