For 2012, Disney Channel was #1 among Kids 2-11, toppling Nickelodeon's 17-year record in Total Day among the largest advertiser-targeted segment. Disney Channel, which accepts select sponsorships, was also the #1 TV network in Total Day among Kids 6-11 for the 2nd consecutive year, and was #1 for the 4th year among Tweens 9-14 with a dynamic lineup of hit live action and animated programs. They include the #1 TV series ("Good Luck Charlie"), the #1 animated TV series ("Phineas and Ferb") and the #1 TV movie ("Let It Shine"). In Primetime, Disney Channel was at #1 for the 12th consecutive year in Tweens 9-14 and for the 10th straight year in Kids 6-11, and placed among the Top 2 cable networks in Total Viewers for the 7th year in a row.

Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide, said: "This has been a remarkable year, not just because of our ratings success, but because of what that success represents:
a deep and consistent connection that kids and their families have with the various characters and stories that make up our programming portfolio."

TV's #1 network in Total Day for the first time ever in Kids 2-11 (950,000/2.3 rating), for the 2nd consecutive year in Kids 6-11 (632,000/2.6 rating) and for the 4th year in a row in Tweens 9-14 (529,000/2.2 rating). In Total Viewers, Disney Channel paced a mere 1% shy of tying Nickelodeon as cable TV's #1 network (1.686 million vs. 1.704 million), a stark reversal to Nickelodeon's 21% advantage in 2011 (2.143 million vs. 1.764 million).

#1 TV network in Prime for the 10th consecutive year in Kids 6-11 (1.1 million/4.5 rating; 2003-2012) and 12th in Tweens (893,000/3.7 rating; 2001-2012); ranked among Cable' TVs Top 2 networks in Prime for the 7th consecutive year in Total Viewers (2.4 million, 2006-- 2012).

TV's gold standard for inclusiveness and diversity, Disney Channel Original Movie "Let It Shine" (6/15/12) was TV's #1 movie in Kids 2-11 (3.7 million/9.0 rating), Kids 6-11 (3.2 million/13.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.9 million/12.2 rating), and cable TV's #2 movie in Total Viewers (7.0 million). This marked the 11th consecutive year Disney Channel has delivered the #1 original movie telecast among Tweens 9-14.
"Good Luck Charlie" swept as TV's #1 series across Kids 2-11(2.7 million/6.7 rating), Kids 6-11 (2.2 million/9.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.1 million/8.6 rating). Notably, this marked Disney Channel's 7th consecutive year with the #1 cable TV series in Kids 6-11 and Tweens.

Finale of "Wizards of Waverly Place" (1/6/12) ranked as cable TV's #1 telecast in Kids 2-11 (5.9 million/14.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (5.0 million/20.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (4.3 million/18.0 rating) -- #1 scripted telecast across all TV, behind only the "Super Bowl" -- and impressively surpassed the series finale of TNT's "The Closer" in Total Viewers (11.3 million vs. 11.2 million).

Emmy-Award-winning "Phineas and Ferb" was TV's #1 animated series across Kids 2-11 (2.1 million/5.1 rating), Kids 6-11 (1.6 million/6.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.3 million/5.3 rating). 2012 was Disney Channel's 5th consecutive year delivering the #1 animated TV series in Tweens 9-14, and the 5th straight year with the #1 animated TV series in Prime in Kids 6-11.
