Disney Channel Sweeps Total Day in Key Kid Demos

For the week of September 2, 2013, Disney Channel swept Total Day for the 2nd consecutive week across major Kid 2-11 (915,000/2.3 rating), Kid 6-11 (620,000/2.6 rating) and Tween 9-14 (502,000/2.1 rating) demographics, and was the #1 cable TV network in Total Viewers (1.66 million) for the 6th time in the previous 8 weeks. In fact, this marked the network's 117th consecutive week atop all TV in Kids 6-11 and Tweens.

Creating its largest competitive advantage in seven weeks, Disney Channel outperformed runner up Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 96th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (+49% - 620,000 vs. 416,000) and 98th straight week in Tweens (+93% - 502,000 vs. 260,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel stood as cable TV's #1 network for the 434th week in a row among Kids 6-11 (1.00 million/4.2 rating - 8+ years) and 171st in Tweens 9-14 (779,000/3.2 rating - 3+ years), and ranked a solid #2 in Total Viewers (2.57 million).

Disney Channel delivered the week's Top 8 TV telecasts in Kids 2-11, Top 25 TV telecasts in Kids 6-11 (37 of 40 - Top 5 below) and Top 9 cable TV telecasts in Tweens

The 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked as cable TV's #1 preschool-dedicated network in Total Day for the 23rd consecutive week - each week since reporting public ratings on 4/1/13 - with Kids 2-5 (197,000/1.3 rating) and Boys 2-5 (100,000/1.3 rating), for the 6th week in a row in Girls 2-5 (97,000/1.3 rating) and for the 22nd time in the prior 23 weeks in Total Viewers (392,000).

Disney Junior channel out-delivered Nick Jr. for the 23rd week running in Kids 2-5 (+33% - 197,000 vs. 148,000) and Boys 2-5 (+47% - 100,000 vs. 68,000), for the 6th week running in Girls 2-5 (+20% - 97,000 vs. 81,000) and for the 22nd time in the previous 23 weeks in Total Viewers (+25% - 392,000 vs. 313,000), despite Being in 14.8 million fewer homes.

Disney Junior channel exceeded Sprout by triple digits for the 23nd week in a row across target demos: Total Viewers (+151% - 392,000 vs. 156,000), Kids 2-5 (+198% - 197,000 vs. 66,000) and Boys 2-5 (+317% - 100,000 vs. 24,000), and by at least double digits for the 23nd week in a row in Girls 2-5 (+131% - 97,000 vs. 42,000).
