Disney Channel Sweeps Key Kid Demos for 4th Straight Week

For the week of May 13, 2013, 24-hour kid-driven, family-dedicated television network Disney Channel swept core kid demos for the 4th straight week in Total Day in Kids 2-11 (2.1 rating - tie), Kids 6-11 (519,000/2.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (460,000/1.9 rating), marking the network's 101st consecutive week as TV #1 network in 6-11 and 9-14 measures.

Competitively, Disney Channel beat Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 80th straight week in Kids 6-11 (+34% - 519,000 vs. 386,000) and 82nd in Tweens (+81% - 460,000 vs. 254,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as cable TV's #1 network to 420 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (866,000/3.7 rating - 8+ years) and for 155 weeks in a row in Tweens 9-14 (766,000/3.2 rating - 3 years).

24-Hour Disney Junior Channel
The 24-hour Disney Junior Channel qualified as cable TV's #1 preschool-dedicated Total Day network for the 7th consecutive week - each week since reporting public ratings - in Total Viewers (371,000), Kids 2-5 (206,000/1.3 rating) and Boys 2-5 (130,000/1.6 rating).

Disney Junior Channel grew notably week to week, surging by 15% in Total Viewers (371,000 vs. 317,000), by 18% in Kids 2-5 (206,000 vs. 174,000) and by 23% in Boys 2-5 (130,000 vs. 106,000).

- Disney Junior Channel exceeded Nick Jr. by double digits for the 7th straight week in Kids 2-5 (+26% - 206,000 vs. 163,000) and Boys 2-5 (+67% - 130,000 vs. 78,000), and for the 5th time in the previous 7 weeks in Total Viewers (+17% - 371,000 vs. 317,000), despite being in nearly 17 million fewer homes.

- Disney Junior Channel outperformed Sprout by triple digits for the 7th week running in the key demos of Total Viewers (+175% - 371,000 vs. 138,000), Kids 2-5 (+203% - 206,000 vs. 68,000) and Boys 2-5 (+400% - 130,000 vs. 26,000), and for the 5th time in the previous 7 weeks in Women 18-49 (+117% - 65,000 vs. 30,000).
