Disney Channel Ranks as TV's #1 Total Day Network for in Key Demo

For the week of October 14, 2013, driven by Friday's 'Night of Premieres' and Sunday's Halloween-themed repeats, Disney Channel ranked as TV's #1 network in Total Day for the 123rd consecutive week among Kids 6-11 (551,000/2.3 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (504,000/2.1 rating), marking nearly two-and-a-half years at #1 in the key demographics (dates back to week of 6/13/11).

Disney Channel towered over Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 102nd consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (+28% - 551,000 vs. 429,000) and 104th week in a row Tweens 9-14 (+77% - 504,000 vs. 285,000) - dates back to week of 11/7/11 and 10/24/11, respectively.

In Prime, Disney Channel stood as cable TV's #1 network for the 440th week in a row among Kids 6-11 (902,000/3.8 rating - 8+ years) and 177th in Tweens 9-14 (834,000/3.5 rating - 3+ years).

Friday's all new "Jessie" (8:30 - 8:55 p.m.) ranked as the week's #1 TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (1.31 million/5.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.13 million/4.7 rating).

24-Hour Disney Junior Channel

The 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked as TV's #1 preschool-dedicated network in Total Day for the 29th consecutive week with Kids 2-5 (207,000/1.3 rating) and Boys 2-5 (107,000/1.3 rating) - every week since reporting public ratings on 4/1/13 - for the 12th week in a row in Girls 2-5 (100,000/1.3 rating) and for the 28th time in the previous 29 weeks in Total Viewers (430,000).

Notably, Disney Junior channel aired the week's Top 8 telecasts in Kids 2-5 across preschool-dedicated TV networks (Top 5 below):

Disney Junior channel exceeded Nick Jr. for the 29th straight week in Kids 2-5 (+31% - 207,000 vs. 158,000) and Boys 2-5 (+39% - 107,000 vs. 77,000), for the 12th week running in Girls 2-5 (+23% - 100,000 vs. 81,000) and for the 28th time in the past 29 weeks in Total Viewers (+30% - 430,000 vs. 331,000), despite Being in 14.0 million fewer homes.

Disney Junior channel eclipsed Sprout by triple digits for the 28th successive week across all core demos: Total Viewers (+108% - 430,000 vs. 207,000), Kids 2-5 (+130% - 207,000 vs. 90,000) and Boys 2-5 (+128% - 107,000 vs. 47,000), and by at least double digits for the 29th week running in Girls 2-5 (+133% - 100,000 vs. 43,000).
