For the week of June 3, 2013, boasting 9-week highs, 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network Disney Channel delivered swept Total Day, ranking as cable TV's #1 network in Total Viewers (1.75 million) and as TV's #1 network across target youth demos Kids 2-11 (963,000/2.4 rating), Kids 6-11 (643,000/2.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (584,000/2.5 rating). Impressively, this marked the network's 2nd consecutive week sweeping key kid demos, and its 104th straight week as TV's #1 network in Kids 6-11 and Tweens.
Competitively, Disney Channel beat Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 83rd straight week in Kids 6-11 (+41% - 643,000 vs. 456,000) and 85th in Tweens (+93% - 584,000 vs. 303,000).
In Prime, Disney Channel stretched its streak as cable TV's #1 network to 423 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (922,000/3.9 rating - 8+ years) and for 158 weeks in a row in Tweens 9-14 (779,000/3.3 rating - 3+ years).
The Disney Junior block on Disney Channel delivered the week's #1 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 with "Sofia the First" (3 of Top 4 overall), the Top 2 in Girls 2-5 with "Sofia the First" and "Doc McStuffins" and Top 4 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers with "Sofia the First," "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," "Doc McStuffins" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."
The 24-hour Disney Junior Channel stood as cable TV's #1 preschool-dedicated Total Day network for the 10th consecutive week - each week since reporting public ratings - in Kids 2-5 (166,000/1.0 rating) and Boys 2-5 (94,000/1.2 rating).
Disney Junior Channel topped Nick Jr. by double digits for the 10th straight week in Boys 2-5 (+15% - 94,000 vs. 82,000), and also led in Kids 2-5 (+5% - 116,000 vs. 158,000), despite being in nearly 17 million fewer homes.
Disney Junior Channel towered over Sprout by triple digits for the 10th week running in the key demos of Total Viewers (+105% - 326,000 vs. 159,000), Kids 2-5 (+121% - 166,000 vs. 75,000) and Boys 2-5 (+236% - 94,000 vs. 28,000), and led by double-digits in Girls 2-5 (+50% - 72,000 vs. 48,000) and Women 18-49 (+91% - 63,000 vs. 33,000).
