Disney Channel Extends its Record Rating's Streak

Fresh off its most-watched year on record in 2011, during the week of December 26, Disney Channel extended its record streak as TV's #1 network in Total Day to 29 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (791,000/3.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (626,000/2.6 rating).

· Disney Channel defeated Nickelodeon by 13% in Kids 6-11 (791,000 vs. 701,000) and by 17% in Tweens 9-14 (626,000 vs. 534,000), marking the network's 8th straight week holding a double-digit percent advantage in Kids 6-11, and the 10th consecutive week in Tweens 9-14. Looking out further, this was the 27th time in the previous 29 weeks the network has surpassed Nickelodeon by double-digits in Tweens 9-14, and the 16th time in the prior 17 weeks in Kids 6-11.

· Notably, this week was Disney Channel's 2nd-most-watched non-summer week of all time in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

In Prime, Disney Channel has been cable's TV #1 network on a weekly basis for over 6 years in Kids 6-11 (1.05 million/4.3 rating), or 345 consecutive weeks. In Tweens 9-14 (781,000/3.3 rating), it ranked #1 for the 80th straight week, and for the 342nd time in the previous 345 weeks overall.

Disney Channel held 7 of the week's Top 10 TV telecasts in Kids 6-11, led by "Good Luck Charlie" (1.39 million/5.7 rating - 12/30/11, 10:00 - 10:30 p.m.), and 6 of the Top 10 cable telecasts in Tweens 9-14, fronted by "Shake It Up" (1.19 million/4.9 rating - 01/01/12, 8:30 - 9:00 p.m.).
