Disney Channel & Disney Junior Top February in Key Target Demos

For February 2016, Disney Channel - powered by the cable TV premiere of Disney's "Frozen" and full episode preview of the original comedy series "Stuck in the Middle" - ranked as TV's #1 network on a Total Day basis for the 58th consecutive month in Kids 6-11 (337,000/1.4 rating) and for the 70th straight month in Tweens 9-14 (325,000/1.4 rating), exceeding runner up Nickelodeon by double digits for the 56th month in a row in Tweens (+66% - vs. 196,000).

  • The full episode preview of the original comedy series "Stuck in the Middle" (2/14/16, 8:45 p.m.) was the month's #1 cable TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (1.2 million/5.2 rating) and the #1 telecast across kid cable TV networks in Tweens 9-14 (1.0 million/4.3 rating), while "Frozen" (2/14/16, 7:00 p.m.) was the #1 cable TV telecast in Kids 2-11 (1.9 million/4.9 rating).

During February 2016, the Disney Junior block and the 24-hour Disney Junior channel delivered 6 of the month's Top 8 cable TV telecasts in Kids 2-5, including all new episodes of "The Lion Guard," "Sofia the First" and "PJ Masks."

Powered by Live + 7 day series highs set on February 12, "The Lion Guard" placed among the month's Top 10 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 for its airings on both the 24-hour Disney Junior channel (#5 - 397,000/2.6 rating) and on the Disney Junior block (#7 - 383,000/2.5 rating).

Among preschooler-dedicated TV networks, the 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked #1 for the 35th consecutive month in Total Viewers (536,000), Kids 2-5 (226,000/1.5 rating) and Boys 2-5 (113,000/1.4 rating) - every month since reporting public ratings on April 1, 2013 - for the 32nd month in a row in Girls 2-5 (113,000/1.5 rating) and for the 33rd straight month in Women 18-49 (110,000/0.2 rating).

Disney Junior channel out-delivered Nick Jr. by double digits across all key categories: Total Viewers (+36% - 536,000 vs. 395,000), Kids 2-5 (+29% - 226,000 vs. 175,000), Girls 2-5 (+31% - 113,000 vs. 86,000), Boys 2-5 (+27% - 113,000 vs. 89,000) and Women 18-49 (+53% - 110,000 vs. 72,000).

  • Disney Junior channel defeated Sprout by triple digits for the 35th month in a row across Total Viewers (+270% - 536,000 vs. 145,000), Kids 2-5 (+277% - 226,000 vs. 60,000), Girls 2-5 (+232% - 113,000 vs. 34,000), Boys 2-5 (+335% - 113,000 vs. 26,000) and Women 18-49 (+323% - 110,000 vs. 26,000).
