Discovery Life Channel announced today it will continue its commitment to MAKING LIFE BETTER, an ongoing public awareness campaign that promotes health and wellness initiatives, with the launch of THE LIFESAVER PROJECT. Beginning with August, the network will recognize one "lifesaver" each month - someone who is going the extra mile to make life better in their community. Whether it's an organ donor, a CPR expert, an encouraging sponsor, a resilient child or a valiant Good Samaritan, Discovery Life Channel celebrates the everyday heroes who do the extraordinary. Nominators have a chance to pay it forward to a lifesaver who has impacted them, and winners will receive a $1,000 prize for themselves and a matching $1,000 donation for a charity of their choice.
