Mexican actor Diego Boneta is joining the film adaptation of video game series "Monster Hunter," according to Variety.
Paul W.S. Anderson is reportedly directing the film with Jeremy Bolt. Milla Jovovich, Tonya Jaa, Ron Perlman, and T.I. Harris are also set to star in the film.
The movie will shoot in and around Cape Town, South Africa. Toronto-based company Mr. X will provide special effects.
Boneta is perhaps best known for his role in the Netflix BIOGRAPHY "Luis Miguel: La Serie." He also appeared in "Scream Queens" and "Pretty Little Liars." He made his film debut in "Rock of Ages."
The "Monster Hunter" action role-playing game franchise debuted in the early 2000s. In January "Monster Hunter: World" was lauched, and its shipped over 7.9 million copies since its release and is now Capcom's best-selling game of all time.
