Did Justin Bieber Lie About Receiving Private Jet for Christmas?

Last week, pop star Justin Bieber turned to Instagram to share a picture of his "new jet for Christmas". The recording artist shared a photo of himself on the plane (at left) along with the misleading caption: "New jet for Christmas, and she's beautiful"

Today, TMZ reports that the jet Bieber posed on is a G4, which is indeed for sale, but was not purchased by Bieber or by a generous friend as a Christmas gift. Sources with direct knowledge of the aircraft tell the site that the popular singer only chartered it for a Christmas flight from Canada to NYC. Did Bieber tell his "Beliebers" a white lie? You decide!

Bieber has received numerous awards, including both Artist of the Year Awards at the 2010 American Music Awards and the 2012 American Music Awards, and was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

With a global fan base, termed as "Beliebers", and over 40 million followers on Twitter, he was named by Forbes magazine in 2012 as the third-most powerful celebrity in the world.
