As first reported on Deadline.com, producers Dick Wolf and Mark Burnett will be teaming up for an NBC military-style reality series tentatively called STARS EARN STRIPES.

The series will feature nine celebrities at a top-notch military training center who are each paired with a trainer who will prepare them to take on a variety of difficult tasks. Each week, the stars will compete in rigorous challenges based on real exercises used in the military. All prize money will be donated to a military charity of the celebrity's choice.

Commented Wolf, "I think this is a unique opportunity to pay a tribute to our troops and first responders, who put their lives on the line everyday."

"Stars Earn Stripes is a high-energy, fun action show, but at its heart, it is all about those five words: 'Thank you for your service,' said Burnett. "Our celebrities are going to experience the high adrenaline that Special Forces and law enforcement encounter and will realize how very hard and scary it is to do those jobs."

The project will be the first unscripted series from Wolf since his docu-series Crime & Punishment, which he executive-produced from 2002 to 2004.
