As first reported on Deadline.com, Zachary Gordon, star of the upcoming film 'Diary Of A Wimpy Kid', has joined the cast of the ABC comedy pilot from Kari Lizer. The project stars Mary McCormack.
The comedy, from Warner Bros. TV, follows the story of Hilary Pfeiffer-Dunne (McCormack), described as "a high-powered executive who, having dominated the corporate America for years, now faces the biggest challenge of her life when she finds herself unemployed and acting as a full-time mom to her two kids."
Gordon will portray Hilary's son Dylan. He replaces actor Aidan Potter who was originally cast in the role. According to the report, the creators decided to recast the role in order to make the character appear older.
In addition to the upcoming 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', Gordon will star in the film's sequel due to open this August.
