Ryan Murphy Tweeted the news today that Denis O'Hare will be returning for FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN.

"Very pleased to announce that the Emmy nominated Denis O'Hare is joining AHS: Coven," Murphy wrote.

Murphy did not reveal, however, what role O'Hare will be playing. O'Hare portrayed Larry Harvey in the first season of the show, and was absent for Season 2 (Asylum).

Though details on COVEN are being kept quiet, Ryan Murphy confirmed in March that the season would be set in multiple locales, including New Orleans.

As BWW previously reported, August Richards is also under consideration for season 3 as 'Hank", the husband of one of the witches, and Emma Roberts will play 'Madison'. COVEN will also bring back Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, and Lily Rabe. Broadway vet Patti LuPone is also set to appear, alongside other newcomers Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Gabourey Sidibe.

O'Hare is currently filming for HBO's The Normal Heart, also with Murphy. His other upcoming projects include The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Site 146 and Dallas Buyers Club. He has also appeared on TV in The Good Wife and True Blood. Past film credits include J. Edgar, Milk, Charlie Wilson's War, Half Nelson, Garden State, 21 Grams and more.

O'Hare's Broadway credits include Elling, Inherit the Wind, Sweet Charity, Assassins, Take Me Out, Major Barbara, Cabaret, Racing Demon, and the US tour of Finian's Rainbow. He has appeared off-Broadway in Uncle Vanya, A Spanish Play, Pig Farm, Vienna: Lusthaus (revisited), Helen, Ten Unknowns, The Devils, Lonely Planet, Silence, Cunning, Exile, The Arabian Nights, Woyzeck, and Hauptman.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN will premiere on FX in October 2013.
