In the upcoming episode "Old Friends," Gibson plays Rita's college friend Cindy, and former Bangles-cover band mate who returns years later to apologize for leaving the band the night of their most important gig. Sullivan stars as Rita Clemens, an over-worked wife and mother in the middle of a full-blown identity crisis. After being passed over for a promotion at work, Rita, at her wit's end, dusts off her old guitar and forms a garage band with her nosy postal carrier Patty(Campbell-Martin). The Rita Rocks episode "Old Friends" will premiere Monday, January 12th at 8:30 PM (ET/PT).

For more than 20 years, Deborah Gibson has proven she's an entertainer of immeasurable talent.
From singer, songwriter and musician to actor and dancer, she embodies what it truly means to be an entertainer. Gibson exploded on the pop music scene at the tender age of 16. A music prodigy, she quickly became the youngest person ever to write, produce and perform a number one single, ("Foolish Beat"), a record she still holds today in the Guinness Book of World Records. To date, Gibson has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide. After conquering the pop world, she set her sights on the theater. Gibson took a star turn in the Broadway production of "Les Miserables" as Eponine.

She broke box office records in the London West End production of "Grease" as Sandy,
and then took the stage in the U.S. Broadway tours of "Grease" and "Funny Girl" playing Rizzo and Fanny Brice. Gibson also wowed critics as Belle in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Gypsy_Rose_Lee/">Gypsy_Rose_Lee/">Gypsy Rose Lee in "Gypsy," The Narrator in the national tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,"
Cinderella in the national production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," Velma Kelly in "Chicago," and Sally Bowles in the Broadway revival of "Cabaret." Continuing to dazzle with entertainment magic, Gibson bridged the gap between Pop Music and Broadway with her one-woman show "Pop Goes Broadway." She brings the best of both worlds to the stage singing some of her biggest pop hits and reprising her starring roles on Broadway. Gibson recently returned to her Broadway roots for a successful run of "The King and I."

In "Rita Rocks," Nicole Sullivan stars as Rita Clemens, an overworked wife and mother in the middle of a full-blown identity crisis - which includes trying to maintain romance with her husband Jay (Richard Ruccolo), juggling the demands of her nine-year-old daughter, Shannon (Kelly Gould), and disciplining her defiant teenage daughter Hallie (Natalie Dreyfuss) and her ever-present boyfriend Kip (Raviv Ullman). After being passed over for a promotion at work, Rita is at her wit's end. In search of "youthful" Rita, she dusts off her old guitar and forms a garage band with her nosy postal carrier Patty (Tisha Campbell-Martin) and unemployed neighbor Owen (guest star Ian Gomez), in the hopes of putting that spark back in her life.
