Driven, the John DeLorean biopic by Irish director Nick Hamm will close the Venice Film Festival, according to Variety.
Set in the opulence of early 1980s California, the film follows the meteoric RISE of DeLorean and his iconic DeLorean Motor Company; his friendship with a charming ex-con-turned-informant, Jim Hoffman; and the drug SCANDAL that brought DeLorean low.
Lee Pace stars as automotive engineer and designer DeLorean. Jason Sudeikis plays Hoffman. Judy Greer stars as Hoffman's wife, Ellen, and Corey Stoll plays an ambitious FBI agent named Benedict Tissa.
"Venice is an inspiring festival with an incredible audience. I am both honored and delighted to be invited back to share this crazy untold story," Hamm said in the statement.
The 75th Venice Film Festival runs from August 29th to September 8th.
