David Decker has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution, where he will oversee the combined domestic and international television distribution's business & legal affairs groups, it was announced today by Jeffrey Schlesinger, President, Worldwide Television Distribution. Decker is the first executive to take on domestic and international responsibilities since Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced the formation of a global television distribution organization under Schlesinger's leadership.
All of the lawyers and business affairs executives responsible for both international and domestic activities will report to Decker, who will report to Schlesinger. Ron Miele, who serves as Warner Bros. International Television Distribution's General Counsel, will continue to report directly to Schlesinger and will maintain a focus on corporate development, regulatory concerns and operational issues. "It was clear to me that the most effective first step in aligning the distribution of Warner Bros programming to all television and SVOD outlets around the world is to create a single legal and business affairs group to better service our global customers and share best practices," said Schlesinger. "This is the one group that is involved in all of our dealings in both the traditional and new media platforms, and their input helps develop our strategy and licensing policy. I think David is the right person to lead this group, transform it into a single organization and to make us more effective on a global basis."Videos
