Fox's upcoming pilot DEAD BOSS has added to its already comedy gold cast.
According to Deadline, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT's David Cross has signed on to join 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski, Amy Sedaris, and Rachel Dratch for the project.
Based upon the BBC3 series, DEAD BOSS "is a comedic mystery that finds overachiever Helen Stephens (Krakowski) wrongfully convicted of murdering her boss and forced to rely on her train wreck of a sister to prove her innocence." Cross will take on the deceased titular character, "Derek Bridges, the narcissistic, credit-stealing, misogynistic 'dead boss'."
Krakowski has a knack for scene stealing roles, on stage where she earned Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards for her role of Carla in the revival of Nine, and on screen, where she is known for her three-time Emmy nominated role of Jenna Maroney on "30 Rock." The acclaimed comedy earned Jane, along with her "30 Rock" cast mates, the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Comedy Ensemble. Jane received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Elaine on the award-winning series "Ally McBeal." She received her first Tony nomination for her work in the production of Grand Hotel, and her other Broadway credits include Company, Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe and Starlight Express. In the summer of 2008, she starred in the Encores revival of Damn Yankees opposite Sean Hayes. Last year, Jane released her debut solo album, "The Laziest Gal in Town," captured during her cabaret debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. In her Town Hall debut, she will beguile the audience with American, Broadway, pop and jazz tunes that showcase her unique voice and engaging personality.
