Actor David Burtka will return to CBS' 'How I Met Your Mother' to reprise the role of Lily's (played by Alyson Hannigan) high school boyfriend, turned stalker. Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files filed a report following a visit to the set of the comedy hinting at the episode's plot, "Spoiler alert: He's still really into her."

David Burtka made his Broadway debut as 'Tulsa' in the 2003 production of 'Gypsy', starring Bernadette Peters. Other theatre credits include the role of 'The Boy' in the Off-Broadway American premiere of Edward Albee's 'The Play About the Baby', and 'Matt', a role he originated for the musical 'The Opposite of Sex'. Television credits include 'The West Wing', 'Crossing Jordan', and a previous guest role in the second season of 'How I Met Your Mother'. Burtka is the partner of 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris. The two appeared in a benefit concert for the LGBT Community Center in 2008. Burtka is also a trained chef having graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena.

'How I Met Your Mother' airs Mondays at 8/7c on CBS.
