CBS Interactive's limited-run concert web series, LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN, today announced the second performance in the series, featuring Dave Matthews Band on Thursday, May 7 (9:00 PM, ET/6:00 PM, PT). The webcast, presented by Mercedes-Benz, will be available live on CBS.com and on-demand on CBS.com, the CBS Apps and select CBS AUDIENCE Network partner sites.
Dave Matthews Band's LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN webcast will precede the band's television appearance on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN the following evening, Friday, May 8 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN celebrates the amazing musical acts that have performed on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN throughout the 21 years the show has been on CBS, including select bands that have debuted on the broadcast as well as those that became consistent return performers. The series builds on the successful CBS Interactive webcast concert series, LIVE ON LETTERMAN, which garnered hundreds of millions of views during its run on CBS.com and the CBS Audience Network.
Dave Matthews Band made its national television debut on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN on Feb. 24, 1995. The band returned to perform 12 more times over the past 20 years. Dave Matthews Band's LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN webcast performance will celebrate their history with the LATE SHOW and take place just before the kick-off of their North American summer tour on May 13 in Austin, Texas.
Dave Matthews Band, formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991 with founding members Dave Matthews, Stefan Lessard, Carter Beauford, Boyd Tinsley and LeRoi Moore, quickly began performing live in cities across the eastern seaboard, steadily gaining an impressive fan base.
