Danny Glover to Speak at Int'l Film Finance Forum in Cannes

Winston Baker, global producer of film finance conferences, announces the 3rd Annual International Film Finance Forum(R) to be presented in association with Variety, the world's leading content provider for the entertainment industry. The event will be held at the Majestic Barriere in Cannes, France on May 18, 2012 during the 65th Annual Festival de Cannes.
The International Film Finance Forum annually hosts financiers, investment advisers, filmmakers, studio executives, finance and sales agents, distributors, attorneys, accountants, insurance and completion bond providers, film commissioners, and new entrants to film financing from all over the world. This year's speaking faculty will address how to get movies financed, made, and sold in this ever-changing marketplace.
The forum will open up with the state of the industry overview by Randall Emmett, Co-Chair/Producer of Emmett/Furla Films. Emmett manages a $250 film fund and has successfully financed and/or produced over 65 feature films in less than 10 years.
During the closing conversation, actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover will address the growing importance of documentaries, creative financing strategies for this genre, and ways to market and sell these types of films, with Louverture Films partner, Joslyn Barnes, who is a screenwriter and Emmy® nominated producer.
The speaking faculty will also include executives from 20th Century Fox International, AON/Albert G. Ruben Insurance Services, CAA, Entertainment Partners, FilmDistrict, Fintage House, Hyde Park Entertainment, IMAX, Motion Picture Association, O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Paradigm, Puerto Rico Film Commission, Rothstein Kass, The Weinstein Company, and Worldview Entertainment, among many others.
The Film Finance Forum Series hosts the most notable names in the business and has been offered in Los Angeles, New York, Cannes, Singapore, Moscow and Zurich.
