Variety reports that Daniel Radcliffe has just signed on to star in the supernatural thriller HORNS from Red Granite Pictures. Red Granite's Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland, Mandalay Pictures president Cathy Schulman and Adam Stone will produce with Joe Hill and Red Granite's Joe Gatta as executive producers. Alexandre Aja will direct.

HORNS is based on the novel by Joe Hill and has been adapted by 'In Treatment's Keith Bunin. Radcliffe will play the prime suspect for the rape and murder of his girlfriend. According to the description, his character will "awake one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their impulses - an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend's tragedy."

Filming is set to begin this fall.

Radcliffe was recently seen on the big screen in the supernatural thriller, "The Woman In Black." He rose to international fame starring as the title character in "Harry Potter," the highest grossing film series of all time. Radcliffe starred in Broadway's recent revival of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. He also appeared in EQUUS in 2008.
