According to NME.com, Daniel Radcliffe would love to be cast in an upcoming installment of the STAR WARS film franchise. Although the Harry Potter star recently told Time Out London that he has no plans to return to his role as the world's most famous wizard, he would relish the idea of joining the futuristic space saga.

"Franchise mustn't become a dirty word. If directors like JJ Abrams and Joss Whedon keep doing what they're doing, it won't be," commented the actor. "I'd love to be part of one again. Maybe not leading it; a nice supporting role. Star Wars would be awesome. That'd be crazy cool."

Radcliffe is best known for playing the title role in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise. He made his Broadway debut, to much acclaim, in EQUUS and made his Broadway musical debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in the recent revival of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.

He will next appear on the big screen in the upcoming Kill Your Darlings, starring as the poet Allen Ginsberg.
