TVguide.com reports that DANCING WITH THE STARS professional dancer Cheryl Burke may be heading to ABC's next installment of the BACHELORETTE. In a recent interview with E!, Burke reveals, "I realize that Dancing won't be on air forever. I'm taking this opportunity now to develop shows. I met with different high-powered producers, companies and networks about possibly doing new shows, and The Bachelorette happened to be one of them."
The two-time DWTS champion, who has been frustrated with her romantic prospects of late, shared that she believed the dating reality show could be a great opportunity for her. "I think it would be a way for me to focus on a way to find true love. It sounds cliché, but it's true," she says. "I want to be in a relationship. I've been so married to my work lately that it's been a struggle to find a boyfriend, or find someone to talk to. I haven't had a proper date in two, three years."Burke commented that as of now, "nothing is confirmed" regarding her appearance on the show. ABC has not commented on the story but sources close to the show tell E! that producers would not be interested in placing Burke in the Bachelorette seat because they prefer to spotlight "real people," as opposed to stars.
Joining the show in the second season , Burke won back-to-back disco ball trophies with partner Drew Lachey in Season 2, and then with Emmitt Smith in Season 3, and was most recently had a second place finish with Rob Kardashian in Season 13.Videos
