Today, the three-time Emmy® award-winning, critically-acclaimed and nationally-syndicated The Dr. Oz Show received its fifth nomination for Outstanding Informative Talk Show, host Dr. Mehmet Oz received his fifth nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Host and Director Scot Titelbaum and Associate Director Debra Mackrell received their first nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Talk Show as announced for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy® awards. This is the fifth consecutive nomination in each category for Dr. Oz and The Dr. Oz Show production team led by executive producers, Mindy Borman and Amy Chiaro.

Now in its fifth season and with over 800 episodes created, The Dr. Oz Show has changed millions of lives as a leader in health and wellness and continues to rank consistently in the top four shows nationally among its competitors. Under the direction of Borman and Chiaro, The Dr. Oz Show debuted in 2009 with the highest-rated syndication launch in over a decade. The landmark show is seen around the world in 118 countries and has been used as a format to create new original versions of the shows in 12 countries.

"The Dr. Oz Show is a decade defining show, impacting the way a large segment of people view health from eating habits to taking better care of themselves," said Mindy Borman. "Dr. Oz is one of the most trusted voices in television with mass appeal and influence on everything from product sales to public policy including an FDA mandated change to the levels of arsenic in apple juice. We are thrilled that our mission continues to be recognized by our industry peers."

"We are honored to receive this nomination from our colleagues. The letters and e-mails we receive from our viewers who have saved their own lives by recognizing the symptoms of ovarian cancer or the first signs of a heart attack truly inspire us to come to work every day, knowing our work is making a difference," said Amy Chiaro.

"You are only as good as your team and I have smart, talented people surrounding me whose hard work and dedication produce a show that continues to transcend generations and impact people daily by sharing lifesaving information, celebrating life and advocating for change," said Dr. Mehmet Oz. "I am tremendously proud of our continued accomplishments and honored that our work to inspire wellness is recognized by our industry peers."

Scot Titelbaum, director of The Dr. Oz Show and Associate Director Debra Mackrell earned their first nomination for outstanding direction. "The unique task in directing The Dr. Oz Show is that it be fun and instructional at the same time. We see our work in directing as creating a show that leads people to fuller, happier, healthy lives. It's humbling to be recognized among the excellent nominees," said Titelbaum.

Upcoming guests on The Dr. Oz Show include Diane Keaton (May 8), Whoopi Goldberg (May 15), Shark Tank's Lori Greiner and Daymond John (May 16) and Queen Latifah (May 19).
