DOWNTON ABBEY Introduces Board Games, Beauty Products & More

A new DOWNTON ABBEY merchandising line will soon be launched in anticipation of the upcoming fourth season. According to the Associated Press, the line will include board games, beauty products and clothing.

Marks & Spencer, the popular British department store chain will introduced the Downton-themed beauty products line this fall, which will include soap, nail polish, lip gloss, lotion and scented candles. As an added perk, select products will feature lines from some of the show's most beloved characters, including Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess.

Also on tap will be 'Downtoncolors,' a new paint line being offered by London paint company Mylands. The selections will be inspired by the the interiors of the manor's downstairs kitchen and the butler's pantry and will include such color choices as "Amber Gray" and "Empire Gray."

U.S. and Canadian fans should not dispair however. Coming just in time for the holidays, Danbury Mint and Kurt Adler will introduce a jewlry line as well as a series of Christmas ornaments. In addition, The Bradford Exchange is contemplating the idea of Downton dolls, and the company Wines that Rock will offer Downton red varietal.
