Tonight, July 29th, NewFilmmakers screens a Short Film Program, our first Rough Cut Screening, and the Feature Presentations DICKENSON AVENUE: THE [MOSTLY] TRUE STORY OF THE PADDOCK CLUB.

6:00 PM Short Film Program

During a weekend away, a young queer girl struggles with whether or not to come out to her mother.

David J. Diaz STRANGE BEDFELLOWS (2014, 18 minutes) Charles's marriage of 'convenience' to Grace is suddenly inconvenient when Grace's hot date Fernando is coming over to tango.

Greg Emetaz BOWES ACADEMY (2014, 15 minutes)
Daniel Bloom, a deeply conservative 15-year-old presidential hopeful who will do anything to escape his public high school to the elite boys boarding school of his dreams...until Bowes Academy seems to know more about his sexual orientation than he does.

Chloe Jury-Fogel STEVIE (2014, 18 minutes)
Stevie plays basketball on an outdoor court with her best friend, Large, when she is interrupted by Justin, Large's cousin who is new to town. Justin asks Stevie on a date. The next day, Stevie receives a makeover and dating advice from her younger sister.

NewFilmmakers screens at Anthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street. Tickets are $6 and are good for the whole night and go on sale at 5:30PM the night of performance at the Anthology Box Office. There is no advanced or online sales.
