DETROIT 1-8-7 Preview: December 7 on ABC

"Shelter" - Longford and Mahajan are astonished by the discovery of the skeletal remains of two bodies in an underground fallout shelter. They discover that the two are Detroit's answer to Romeo and Juliet, a young Caucasian woman and an African American man who had been missing since 1967. However Longford realizes that to find the murderer, he'll have to confront the ugly prejudices of the '60s that still permeate the city. In a surprising revelation, his long estranged father, a former cop, offers him a piece of crucial information. Meanwhile, Fitch, Washington, Stone and Sanchez investigate the brutal murder in Mexicantown of a young Latina, an undocumented immigrant who had few places to turn when she became pregnant, on "Detroit 1-8-7," TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Detroit 1-8-7" stars Michael Imperioli as Detective Louis Fitch, James McDaniel as Sergeant Jesse Longford, Aisha Hinds as Lieutenant Maureen Mason, D.J. Cotrona as Detective John Stone, Jon Michael Hill as Detective Damon Washington, Shaun Majumder as Detective Vikram Mahajan, Natalie Martinez as Detective Ariana Sanchez and Erin Cummings as Dr. Abbey Ward.

Guest starring in "Shelter" are Della Reese("Touched By An Angel") as Lorraine Henderson, Giancarlo Esposito ("Breaking Bad," "The Usual Suspects") as Eddie Henderson, Glynn Turman ("In Treatment") as Reverend Clinton P. Huey, Albert Hall as Brent Longford, Jude Ciccolella as Roy Darrow, Jefferson Mays as Dr. Roger Kosowski, Lesley Fera as Dr. Maya Ehrlich, Jorge-Luis Pallo as Luis Pena, Erin Way as Wendy Chapin-Lomeister and Ajgie Kirkland as Toledo Harris.

"Shelter" was written by David Zabel and directed by David Straiton.

"Detroit 1-8-7" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
