DATELINE NBC Ties for #1 in Slot Among Networks in Key Demo

"Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) reported the network's top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the slot in 10 weeks (since the "Parenthood" finale Jan. 29, 1.7 in 18-49, 5.459 million viewers overall).

"Dateline NBC" tied for the slot win among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34 and other key demos.

Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Dateline NBC" is currently up half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, while the ABC and CBS competition was flat or down in all key categories, pending updates. "Dateline" grew by +18% in adults 18-49 from its first half-hour to its second (1.1 to 1.3), +21% in adults 25-54 (1.4 to 1.7), +33% in men 25-54 (0.9 to 1.2) and +14% in total viewers (4.9 million to 5.6 million).

"Dateline" won the 10:30 half-hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.1 for CBS's "Elementary") erasing a 0.3 margin for "Elementary during the prior half-hour (1.1 vs. 1.4). In adults 25-54, "Dateline" moved into a tie for #1 at 10:30 (1.7 vs. 1.7 for "Elementary"), eliminating a 0.7 margin for "Elementary the prior half-hour (1.4 vs. 2.1).

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) captured the show's highest adult 18-49 rating for an encore since Wednesday, June 18, 2014 (1.1 from 9-10 p.m.).

A rebroadcast of "The Blacklist" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in most key measures and grew +13% in men 25-54 (0.8 to 0.9).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.3/9; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.4/4 with an encore delayed by Masters golf coverage; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore delayed by golf coverage; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (0.9/3 with an encore delayed by golf coverage). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.2/2 with an encore delayed by golf coverage).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
