This week on DANCING WITH THE STARS, it is all about the viewers. The watchers of DANCING were able to visit the show's website to choose the styles of dance and songs they would be performed to. Well, the results are in and the winning choices will be performed tonight. But that's not all! Along with the America's choice dances, competitors also have a new Trio dance where they will be joined by their partner as well as another pro dancer!. That should be really interesting. I'm excited to see how those performances play out. This is also the last show until the semi-finals so everyone is feeling the pressure and the competition really heat up.

Without further ado, here are this week's performances...with my commentary, of course!

AMERICA'S CHOICE

Alfonso & Witney
America's Choice Dance: Foxtrot
America's Choice Song: "Ain't That a Kick in the Head"
My 5 second review: Thank you , America for giving us the opportunity to witness that absolutely wonderful first performance!
Judges' score: 37/40

Once again, Alfonso and Witney show America how it is done. This was such an energy-driven performance, and I loved it!

Tommy & Peta
America's Choice Dance: Viennese Waltz
America's Choice Song: "Trouble"
My 5 second review: ELVIS!!! My song-loving aside, I think this was one of his best dances of the season.
Judges' score: 29/40

As much as I love Elvis and think Tommy is always good for a quick laugh, I just think at this point of the competition he really needs to step his game up. I know he's an older man *because they never let a night go by without mentioning it(, but if he can't crank it up a notch, his days in this competition will be numbered.

Lea & Artem
America's Choice Dance: Samba
America's Choice Song: "Animal"
My 5 second review: THIS was SO sexy and wild and PERFECT. I loved seeing this side of Lea.
Judges' score: 34/40 (Which is an abomination in my opinion, but I'm not the dance professional...)

I was so happy to see this vibrant, wild side of Lea. Her ballet form always seemed to prevent her from really letting loose, but that was not there tonight. She looked like she was having so much fun, which made me have so much fun watching her.

Bethany & Derek
America's Choice Dance: Viennese Waltz
America's Choice Song: "Say You Love Me"
My 5 second review: Wow. This was stunningly beautiful.
Judges' score: 36/40

I keep saying that these two are so great, and every time, no matter how repetitive it may sound, is 100% sincere. This performance was no exception. It was beautiful and captivating and really resonated with me.

Sadie & Mark
America's Choice Dance: Jive
America's Choice Song: "1 2 3 Turnaround"
My 5 second review: This was so quirky and fun!
Judges' score: 33/40

Man, this was such an entertaining performance! Really, I had so much fun watching the two of them get to goof off a little after the last few stressful weeks. Great job!

Janel & Val
America's Choice Dance: Quickstep
America's Choice Song: "Hey Boy, Hey Girl"
My 5 second review: YES. Everything about that was wonderful!
Judges' score: 38/40

There isn't much to say after that dance except "you're welcome, America"!

TRIO DANCE

Alfonso & Witney
Additional Pro Dancer: Lindsay Arnold
Style of Dance: Paso Doble to "Turn Down for What"
My 5 second review: I can't stand the song, but my goodness that was a phenomenal performance!
Judges' score: 40/40...no brainer!

Seriously, I think this dance may have just changed my opinion on that song. That was SO flipping FANTASTIC.

Tommy & Peta
Additional Pro Dancer: Sharna Burgess
Style of Dance: Jazz to "Talk Dirty"
My 5 second review: I'm not sure what I just watched...and I am also not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.
Judges' score: 28/40

I still have yet to form a fully coherent opinion on this, and I doubt I ever will. Was it entertaining? Kind of...? But I did not see much dancing at all...thrusting, though. I did see plenty of thrusting. And booty shaking.

Lea & Artem
Additional Pro Dancer: Henry Byalikov
Style of Dance: Paso Doble to "Black Betty"
My 5 second review: That was such an awesome performance!
Judges' score: 36/40

Again, Lea's confidence is radiant tonight! I am so proud of how far she has come in this competition.

Bethany & Derek
Additional Pro Dancer: Tony Dovolani
Style of Dance: Argentine Tango to "Jungle"
My 5 second review: I thought this was so great! But I say that all the time!
Judges' score: 38/40

I thought the addition of Henry was a great way to up the ante in this trio dance. It was really wonderful to witness.

Sadie & Mark
Additional Pro Dancer: Emma Slater
Style of Dance: Foxtrot to "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You"
My 5 second review: FLAWLESS (also, Frankie Valli!!) so, so wonderful!
Judges' score: 40/40 (duh.)

This was elegant, emotional, entertaining...everything you could ask for in a DANCING WITH THE STARS performance was given to you in this Foxtrot.

Janel & Val
Additional Pro Dancer: Keo Motsepe
Style of Dance: Salsa
My 5 second review:I was SO happy to see Keo on that stage again!
Judges' score: 39/40

Keo had the makings to be one of my favorite pros this year, but unfortunately for him, his partner wasn't exactly long-lasting DWTS material, so he was not showcased nearly enough, so seeing him in this riveting Salsa with Janel and Val was a welcome surprise.

After all of the dances tonight, it was revealed that Lea and Artem were eliminated, which is one of the most appalling things I've seen in DANCING WITH THE STARS history. The fact that Tommy Chong is still there and Lea was cut from the competition? That makes no sense! Once again, this is why I cannot stand the system of this show anymore, but I won't go on about that again. I'm really upset to see Lea go. I totally thought she would make it to the Finals, let alone the semi-Finals. But unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and we just need to accept that. On the bright side, we have a ton of new performances to look forward to on next week's Semi-Finals! You won't want to miss it! The show begins Monday, 8/7c on ABC.
