Mark Ballas of ABC's Dancing with The Stars will take the wraps off the new Mark Ballas Dance and Performing Arts Studio at a Grand Opening Gala Saturday, August 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Charlotte's, The Club at Longview.

The Gala will be a dance lover's dream with the Dancing with the Stars pro meeting current and prospective students as he showcases his first franchised dance studio in the U.S.

Ballas, nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography in 2011, is a singer/songwriter/musician who has danced for 20 seasons on the ABC blockbuster dancing series, holding numerous "firsts", including being the only dancer to win multiple Dancing with The Stars competitions with Olympic champions.

Ballas dancing studio franchises are being offered regionally and nationally by Ballas and longtime Charlotte dance ballroom innovator, Sabrina Berg. The new franchise offers dance instructor in both Ballroom and Latin styles of dance in private and group settings. Existing dance studios that franchise with Ballas will convert their name to one of dance's most successful and worldwide recognized dancing icons.

Instructors at franchised ballrooms are highly trained and certified, ensuring that Ballas studio customers receive the most accurate and successful dance instruction available. Each franchise is provided marketing support and a streamlined model for scheduling, accounting, and overall studio efficiency.

"We're thrilled to have a dancing star spend a gala evening with Charlotte dance enthusiasts. Mark will attend the Grand Opening of each of his franchises as ballrooms convert to his brand and system of operation. We encourage everyone to put on their dancing hat, get DECKED OUT in their finest, and come on out to meet Mark and learn about an exciting new opportunity. You'll love our newly converted ballroom and you'll see what ballrooms that convert to the Ballas brand are like," Berg said.

"Put it on your calendarSaturday night, August 1, at 6:30 p.m.a time to join in the fun and experience an evening you will never forget," Berg added
