NBC's coverage of "The 92nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®" has delivered the highest metered-market rating for any telecast on the broadcast networks, excluding news and sports, since the OSCARS in March, according to Nielsen Media Research.

From 9 a.m.-noon, "The 92nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker of NBC's "Today," averaged a 12.8 rating, 28 share in households in the 56 local markets metered by Nielsen (with Denver and Salt Lake City currently excluded) and a 6.9/34 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

· The parade grew year to year in metered-market households by +2% (to a 12.8 rating from a 12.6). The 12.8 equals the event's third best score in the last 13 years, trailing only 2013 and 2015 (13.5 ratings each) since 2004 (13.0).

No non-sports broadcast so far this season has rated higher than yesterday's parade, with the #2 non-sports program in metered-market households landing two full rating points behind (10.8 for the Sunday, Oct. 21 telecast of "60 Minutes").

At noon, "The NATIONAL DOG SHOW Presented by Purina" walked off with the event's second-highest household rating in the meters in 14 years.

From noon-2 p.m., NBC's coverage of "The National Dog Show," hosted by John O'Hurley and featuring the commentary of expert analyst David Frei, was awarded a 6.1/14 in metered-market households and a 3.0/14 in 18-49 in the local people meters)

The 6.1 is up +2% versus one year ago (6.1 vs. 6.0) and ranks as the event's second-best household rating since 2004(6.3), trailing over that span only the 6.4 of 2016.

National ratings for the parade and dog show, including viewer totals, are due from Nielsen on Wednesday, Nov. 28. The national results for last year's "Macy's" parade were 24.060 million viewers, while the 2017 "National Dog Show" garnered 11.556 million viewers.
