Since winning "American Idol" in 2011, McCreery has released two studio albums. His first album was certified platinum and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Album charts, making him the youngest man in history to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut release. McCreery was also named American Country Awards 2011 New Artist of the Year.
In 2012, McCreery set out on the road with fellow USO tour veteran Brad Paisley and opened for Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour. As part of his first USO tour experience, McCreery will spend some time learning about the history and mission of Minot Air Force Base and the men and women who serve there.

Attributed to Scotty McCreery:
"It's because of the men and women who defend this country, and the sacrifices of their families, that we are able to wake up everyday with the freedoms that we often take for granted. I'm grateful to the USO for allowing me the opportunity to say 'thank you' to our troops and their families."
USO entertainment tours are one of the many ways that the USO celebrates the bravery, service and dedication of our men and women in uniform and their families. To find out how you can help visit us online at http://www.uso.org.
