Cooking Channel Announces Holiday Season Highlights

Cooking Channel kicks off the holiday season with a one-of-a-kind special featuring seven fan-favorite personalities in the All-Star Holiday Special:A TASTE OF HOME, premiering Sunday, December 2nd at 8pmET/5pmPT. Bobby Deen, Nadia G, Roger Mooking, Kelsey Nixon, Aarti Sequeira, G Garvin and Eden Grinshpan share their family recipes, giving viewers an inside look into their favorite holiday traditions.

Staying in the holiday spirit, Cooking Channel serves up two full weeks of holiday-themed content every night at 8pm beginning Sunday, December 2nd - Sunday, December 16th including encore airings of Cookies and Cocktails, Chuckmas, A Very Rocco Christmas and Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen: Feast of the Seven Dishes. By bike, boat, car and surfboard, Ben Sargent embarks on the ultimate road trip in his prime-time Cooking Channel series, Hook, Line & Dinner. From coast to coast, Ben uncovers the country's best seafood joints and regional specialties while taking viewers on the awesome journey from sea to table. Crab shacks, lobster pounds and chowder houses: To Ben, they're more than just places to get a hot meal. They're hangouts for eccentrics, where locals swap stories and fishermen share tales from the sea. In each episode, Ben visits a new coastal locale where he teams up with the expert locals to secure the catch of the day, and then he follows that catch straight to the best seaside kitchens.

Follow Ben to beautiful Oahu, Hawaii where he surfs, farms seaweed, pounds poi in a loincloth, and hunts for octopus. The episode culminates in an exciting cooking challenge with a local award winning chef in this amazing island paradise.

Hook, Line & Dinner takes on Oklahoma in a catfish noodling competition where Ben's local expert teaches him to fish with just his hands. Once Ben learns the art of "noodling," he takes on a local handfishing legend in a team battle with high stakes and great catfish cooking.

He and Nina go to Florence for some Christmas shopping, to take in the city at Christmastime and to raise a glass to the season with good friends.

Debi, Gabriele and their girls have moved from Los Angeles to Brooklyn, N.Y. There's tons of unpacking left to do, but Debi is eager to show Gabriele her old neighborhood - hoping he'll love it as much as she does. While out, Debi and Gabriele buy the supplies for their first backyard barbecue and invite some new friends to join them. The outdoor menu includes ribs, sausages braised in beer and spices, potatoes grilled en cartoccio and a beet and pear salad with gorgonzola cheese.

No house is truly a home for Debi and Gabriele unless they can grow their own veggies and herbs. The couple goes to Riverpark Farm to learn about creating a small garden plot in the city from the locals, and later heads over to Prospect Park with master forager, Steve Brill, to learn about what they can harvest. Inspired by everything they see, and with some fresh ingredients they've collected, Gabriele and Debi head home to make a delicious feast.

Debi and Gabriele's friend, Robert, offers to take them up to Arthur Avenue, the epicenter of Italian culture in New York, for some research. Gabriele later makes his version of baked ziti, a beautiful cake of pasta with mozzarella, pork and red sauce, wrapped in slices of eggplant. He also makes a fresh green salad and for dessert, a cannoli with orange liquor and orange zest.

The morning of her birthday, the couple's friend, Robert, distracts Debi so that Gabriele can run around to plan her surprise birthday gathering. He preps a delicious meal including a charcuterie platter, eggplant parmesan, asparagus involtini and a beautiful birthday cake. Debi is blown away, grateful that her friends are there and ecstatic that her husband did actually remember.
