Connie Britton to Star in ABC Drama Pilot NASHVILLE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Connie Britton will star in the upcoming ABC drama pilot NASHVILLE from ABC Studios, Lionsgate and Gaylord Entertainment. The actress will join previously announced cast members Hayden Panettiere, along with Powers Boothe, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Robert Wisdom and Eric Close.

NASHVILLE is described as a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene revolving around one star at her peak and another on the rise." Britton will portray a 40-year-old music superstar named Rayna who is being forced to pair up with a rising teen pop star. (Panettiere).

Britton is best known for her role on the long-running drama series 'Friday Night Lights'. She has recently been seen in the role of Vivien Harmon on 'American Horror Story'. The actress told the Reporter, "I do love to work and I love to work in TV. It's finding something that feels like it's going to give me something that I haven't had yet."
