According to a report by Deadline.com, SNL star Andy Samberg has confirmed through his publicist rumors that he will be leaving the NBC show.
As reported by Deadline, Samberg said to The New York Times: "It's an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life. Obviously it's not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back."

Samberg is one of three SNL cast members whose contracts are up at the end of the season, along with Kristen Wiig and Jason Sudeikis. Wiig confirmed she would be leaving on the season finale; Sudeikis' decision is still up in the air.
Samberg is well known for spearheading Saturday Night Live's Emmy Award-winning SNL Digital Shorts and for his comedy group The Lonely Island. He will appear in the fast-upcoming film That's My Boy. Samberg has starred in the films I Love You, Man, Friends with Benefits, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Space Chimps, Hot Rod, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and more.
