Get ready for the wicked awesome third season premiere of Comedy Central's stand-up series "The Half Hour" tonight, June 6 at Midnight ET/PT and 12:30 a.m. ET/PT! The season kicks off with sets from Chris Distefano and the recently announced newest correspondent for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," Michael Che. "The Half Hour" highlight preview episode, "Must CC: The Half Hour 2014," airs Saturday, May 31 at 3:30 a.m. and is now available free of charge on the Comedy Central App and cc.com/thehalfhour, and on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video and Xbox Video.
"The Half Hour" returns to The Royale in Boston to showcase some of the most exciting names in stand-up comedy, many in their first solo
Comedy Central specials. Airing Fridays at Midnight and 12:30 a.m., this season of "The Half Hour" presents sets from comedians Kurt Braunohler, Che, Distefano, Fortune Feimster. Rachel Feinstein, Ron Funches, Chris Gethard, Tommy Johnagin, Damien Lemon, Adam Newman, Mark Normand, Yannis Pappas, Joe Wengert and Joe Zimmerman.
For the first time,
Comedy Central Radio will be simulcasting original on-air programming on SiriusXM Channel 95 which will commence with the third season of "The Half Hour" and feature the back-to-back debut episodes from Distefano and Che. Then each Friday, starting on June 13, the previous week's episodes will encore in drive time at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET and 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET.
The
Comedy Central App will offer fans who sign in via their cable or satellite provider premiere episodes of "The Half Hour" the day after air. They will also have access to a treasure trove of additional content from the #1 brand in comedy. The
Comedy Central app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is available for free on the App Store or at AppStore.com/cc.
Full episodes of "The Half Hour" will be available two days after air in SD and HD on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Verizon Flexview.
Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com/thehalfhour and the
Comedy Central Stand-Up Web site will feature comedian bios and preview content from the first two episodes, and throughout the season will add episode previews and highlights, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews directed by Scott Moran. Comedians will tweet about their specials using #TheHalfHour, which will populate automatically on cc.com/thehalfhour.
