Comedy legend Marc Maron's newest comedy album "Thinky Pain" will be released by Comedy Central Records on May 6 as a double CD, vinyl, and a digital album available on iTunes and Amazon MP3. The vinyl release, includes a free digital version of the album, and is currently available for pre-order on InSound.

In this new album, recorded at Le Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village, Maron returns to his old stomping grounds for an intimate special in which he takes stock of himself. More than ever, he is raw and hilariously honest as he dissects his own neuroses and self-loathing while providing outrageous anecdotes from his personal life, in which he starts to realize the hurt isn't real, it's just "Thinky Pain."

For over twenty years, Maron has been writing and performing raw, honest and thought-provoking comedy for print, stage, radio, online and television. A legend in the stand-up community, he has appeared on late-night shows including "Conan," "Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and "Real Time with Bill Maher."

Maron's critically acclaimed half hour scripted series, "Maron," returns for a second season on IFC on May 8th. The show was created, written, and produced by Maron and he will also direct episodes in the coming season.

Recently, Maron penned a collection of essays titled Attempting Normal, which was released by Spiegel and Grau in 2013 and made The New York Times' bestseller list. His most recent album, This Has To Be Funny (Comedy Central Records), was named #1 Comedy Album of 2011 by LaughSpin.com and named in The AV Club's Best Comedy Albums of 2011.

Maron's podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, premiered in September 2009 and has since featured compelling monologues and interviews with iconic personalities. It has become a worldwide phenomenon averaging 2.5-3 million downloads each month. In 2012, Maron was included in TIME Magazine's 100 short list of the Most Influential People. He travels the WORLD performing sold out stand up shows as well as live WTF stage shows.

Comedy Central Records' previously released recordings include: Gabriel Iglesias "Aloha Fluffy," "Owen Benjamin: High Five Til It Hurts," Aziz Ansari's "Dangerously Delicious," Jim Gaffigan's "Mr. Universe," George Lopez' "It's Not Me, It's You," Reggie Watts' "A Live At Central Park," Hannibal Buress' "Animal Furnace," John Mulaney's "New in Town," Patton Oswalt's "Finest Hour," Lewis Black's "The Prophet," Louis C.K.'s "Hilarious," Bo Burnham's "WORDS, WORDS, WORDS," Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?," Dane Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," and the Grammy® Award-winning "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance."
