Comedy Central's COLBERT REPORT, THE DAILY SHOW to Resume Tonight

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central will air all new episodes of THE COLBERT REPORT and THE DAILY SHOW WITH Jon Stewart beginning tonight. The political satires were not able to tape due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy, which hit the New York area Monday evening. 

The shows' return one night after late night staple Jimmy Kimmel Live!, broadcasted from Brooklyn for the week. NBC's Late Show With David Letterman and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon have been able to continue with tapings this week, albeit with an empty studio audience. 

According to the report, New York City is resuming outdoor filming permits on Wednesday as well; production throughout the city on various series were shut down entirely Monday and Tuesday.
