Steve Rannazzisi's zone defense is on point in the world premiere of STEVE RANNAZZISI: BREAKING DAD, airing on Comedy Central tonight, September 19 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. For fans that can't wait for Rannazzisi's new material, the special will be available on September 14 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.

Filmed at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston, Rannazzisi's second Comedy Central stand-up special, "Breaking Dad," details the playbook strategies of parenting his young sons, how to dodge pumpkin picking with the wife on NFL Sundays, and the ups and downs of coaching a little league team of mini-superheroes. He may not be a handyman, and he can't shoot a gun, but Rannazzisi's special proves he's still the coolest dad in town.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature preview clips from the special. Fans can follow Rannazzisi on Twitter at @SteveRannazzisi, and tweet using the hashtag #BreakingDad to join the social chatter around the special.

Leading up to the special, fans can check out Rannazzisi in a cc.com short-form video premiering Friday, September 18. The short features Rannazzisi as coach of a lingerie football team who decides to change the way the game is played. "Steve Rannazzisi: Breaking Dad" will be available on September 20 on the Comedy Central App to fans that sign in via their cable or satellite provider. The Comedy Central App is available for iPad and iPhone on the App Store, Android on Google Play, Roku, Xbox One and Chromecast. The special will also be available for download on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu, Verizon Flexview and Google Play on September 22. The digital album will be available on September 19 on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Spotify and all streaming services.

For over 13 years, from the stage to the silver screen, Rannazzisi has made audiences laugh. Currently, Rannazzisi stars and writes alongside Katie Aselton, Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Jonathan Lajoie, and Paul Scheer on the critically acclaimed FX Network comedy series "The League." Earlier this year, Rannazzisi wrapped up his national Strawberry Blonde Ambition comedy tour and he is currently the spokesman for the sports restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings. In January of next year, Rannazzisi will be seen in the hit FOX comedy series, "New Girl," portraying an old college frenemy of Nick (Jake Johnson) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield).

Pursuing his dream, Rannazzisi moved to Los Angeles and began performing at the world-famous Comedy Store where he quickly caught the attention of Ashton Kutcher and got his first taste of television as a cast member on MTV's "Punk'd" in 2003. After his success on "Punk'd," he was cast as a series regular on the ABC sitcom "Big Day," opposite Krysten Ritter, and "See Jayne Run." Rannazzisi has also appeared on "Kitchen Confidential" alongside Bradley Cooper, "Samantha Who?" with Christina Applegate and additional shows such as "State of Romance," "Love Bites," "Trust Me," "Outsourced" and his own web series "Daddy Knows Best."

Along with his flourishing career in television, Rannazzisi is also a prolific stand-up comedian. He has performed stand-up on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and is featured in the stand-up special "Pauly Shore & Friends." Rannazzisi's first critically acclaimed Comedy Central special "Steve Rannazzisi: Manchild" premiered in 2013.

On the silver screen, Rannazzisi appeared in the 2009 blockbuster comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" alongside Kevin James and Jayma Mays. He also appeared in the family comedy, "Imagine That," with Eddie Murphy in 2009, and "For Your Consideration," with Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy.

"Steve Rannazzisi: Breaking Dad" is executive produced by Rannazzisi, Tracey Baird, Krysia Plonka and Geoff Cheddy. Anne Harris is the Executive in Charge for Comedy Central.
