Stand-Up Month rages on when famed radio funnyman, best-selling author, and TV personality Jim Norton returns to Comedy Central in the network television premiere of Jim Norton: PLEASE BE OFFENDED, debuting tonight, April 20, at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT.
The special begins with a rousing intro from a hilariously indisposed Ozzy Osbourne, and doesn't let up from there. Leaving nothing to the imagination in front of an excited crowd at the Ohio Theater in Cleveland, Norton turns his signature point of view and unrelenting frankness to topics from airport profiling to our country's collective nosiness.
Leading up to the on-air premiere,
Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature preview clips from the special. Fans can follow Norton on Twitter at @JimNorton.
Norton is a New York Times best-selling author, television host, and radio personality on the successful Opie & Anthony Radio Show on Sirius/XM Radio. He is also a regular correspondent for "The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno" and a frequent contributor to the late night talk show circuit, with credits including "The Late Show with
David Letterman," "
Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Fox Red Eye," "Hannity," and "
Joy Behar." In addition to radio, books, TV and touring, Norton has released four stand-up comedy CDs: "Yellow Discipline," "Trinkets I Own
Made From Gorilla Hands," "Despicable," and his most recent, "No Baby For You."
Norton has hosted HBO's "Down and Dirty with
Jim Norton" and had a one-hour
HBO stand-up show entitled "Monster Rain" and a half-hour special on HBO's "One Night Stand." He also starred in HBO's "Lucky Louie" with Louis C.K., as well as in COMEDY CENTRAL's "Tough Crowd with
Colin Quinn," and appeared on HBO's "Bored to Death" and FX's "Louie." He has also participated in the "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of
Bob Saget," as well as roasts of
Gene Simmons, Zakk Wylde and
Pat Cooper.
"
