Jim Gaffigan is on top of the world with the release of his new CD, "Mr. Universe," released by COMEDY CENTRAL Records on August 28.
The "Mr. Universe" CD is classic Gaffigan - from in-depth discussions of fast food and having four kids to lengthy insights about whales, his hilarious takes on the mundane never disappoint.
Gaffigan has proven himself a major talent beloved to a wide range of audiences after achieving milestones in stand-up, acting and writing. As approachable as he is edgy, Gaffigan is responsible for some of the funniest and most memorable moments in recent comedy and has seen huge success with his first three albums - "Doing My Time," "Beyond the Pale,"and "King Baby." Gaffigan's first three COMEDY CENTRAL albums combined have sold in excess of 500,000 copies and he is one of the top comics touring today, selling out multiple nights at huge theaters across the country.
Gaffigan has had an unprecedented number of appearances on late night's "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Conan" and his DVDs have reached platinum sales. His writing and voice work on the animated series "Pale Force" for Conan O'Brien led to nominations for both a Broadband Emmy® and a Webby Award. Gaffigan has had breakout guest appearances on many comedies and dramas ranging from HBO's cult hits "Flight of the Conchords" and "Bored to Death" to dramatic roles in all three versions of "Law & Order." In recent years, Gaffigan has also become a mainstay on the big screen with memorable roles in "Going the Distance," "Away We Go," "It's Kind of a Funny Story" and "Salvation Boulevard." Further broadening his career, Gaffigan recently starred in his first Broadway production, "That Championship Season," with Chris Noth, Brian Cox, Jason Patric, and Kiefer Sutherland.
