Comedy Central Records releases a new comedy album from crowd work specialist Big Jay Oakerson. "The Crowd Work Sessions: What's Your F@!?#ng Deal?!" will be released today, November 17 and be available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and all streaming services.
Oakerson has built a reputation for his ability to engage the audience and turn it into a nightly unique comedy experience. For his second album, he ditches the written material altogether and showcases his impressive ability to riff with a crowd. Covering everything from interracial relationships to the myth that everyone is special, Oakerson takes his cues from the crowd for this one-of-a-kind special.
Recognized for his appearance on the hit
IFC show "Z-Rock," where he received critical acclaim for his performance as "Neil," "Big Jay" has appeared on BET's "Comic View" HBO's "
P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy," and Comedy Central's "Comedy
Underground with Dave Attell," "This Is Not Happening," "Premium Blend" and "Tough Crowd with
Colin Quinn," in addition to being featured in an episode of "Comedy Central Presents." He recently wowed for a fourth time at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, closing the "Nasty Show" - a festival favorite - and taking his performance to a whole new level with the debut of his solo show "An American Storyteller." "An American Storyteller" is currently available as a digital album from
Comedy Central Records, and Oakerson can be seen in the next season of "This Is Not Happening" when it moves to the linear channel next year.
