Comedy Central Acquires THE OFFICE; Kicks Off Premiere with All-Day Marathon, 1/15 Image

Five-time Emmy® Award-winning sitcom THE OFFICE clocks in for work at Comedy Central starting on January 15, 2018 with an all-day Office marathon. The #1 brand in comedy has acquired all nine seasons of the instant-classic comedy series that ran for nine seasons on NBC from 2005 to 2013. Select episodes will be available to stream on cc.com and the CC App.

"We're very excited to add the incredible Office to the Comedy Central line-up and can't wait for the Dunder Mifflin team to get here," said Tanya Giles, General Manager, Comedy Central. "The office environment is one so many of our fans can directly relate to and this acquisition will give our audience lots to laugh about."

From Deedle-Dee Productions, Reveille and Universal Television, The Office stars Steve Carell as Michael Scott, Ed Helms as Andy Bernard, John Krasinski as Jim Halpert, Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute, Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly, BJ Novak as Ryan Howard, Mindy Kaling as Kelly Kapoor, Ellie Kemper as Erin Hannon and Craig Robinson as Darryl Philbin, among others. The series presents a hilarious documentary-style look at the humorous, and sometimes poignant, foolishness that plagues the 9-to-5 world. Based on the award-winning BBC hit, The Office is a fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody of modern American office life that delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder Mifflin, a paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The Office is executive-produced by Ben Silverman, Greg Daniels (who developed the series for American audience), Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Paul Lieberstein, Brent Forrester and Dan Sterling.
