The "Last Comic Standing" was Villa Rica, Georgia native Rod Man at last night's finale of the NBC summer series, as the popular comic won the coveted title and a prize package worth $250,000, including a talent deal and development deal for a television show. Judges Roseanne Barr, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters chose Rod Man as the winner of the competition as season eight drew to a close. He has been working as a comic for 19 years.
Now Rod Man and the other top five finalists, including Carr, Patterson, Joe Machi (State College, PA) and Rocky LaPorte (Chicago, IL), will tour through the fall in a "Last Comic Standing Live" nationwide tour that kicks off September 16 in Tucson.
