From prohibition to present day, great bars have always been hidden in plain sight. Now cocktail connoisseur Jack Maxwell is going on a fun-filled mission to find the country's best bars and finest drinks in Travel Channel's new series BOOZE TRAVELER: BEST BARS. Premiering with back-to-back episodes on Monday, April 24 at 10p.m. ET/PT, the series follows Maxwell on a cross-country pub crawl as he gets an all-access tour of the nation's best neighborhood bars for any and every occasion. Whether it's biker bars or hotspots with a view, the "booze traveler" knows a thing or two about what makes America's top watering holes worth the visit!
"A great cocktail is more than the drink. It tastes even better when sipped in an awesome location," said Maxwell. "And, if it's possible, my job as the 'booze traveler' just got better. The hardest part is narrowing down all the great places I've discovered when someone asks for 'the best' or my favorite."
Beginning Monday, April 10, the premiere episode of "Booze Traveler: Best Bars" also will be available for streaming on TravelChannel.com, TV Everywhere and select digital download and video on demand platforms.
In the premiere episode, Maxwell's hunt for the best dockside bars begins along the Intracoastal Waterway of Lantana, Florida, where he hangs out with Vanilla Ice and samples the potent rumrunner at the Old Key Lime House. He then hits the cobblestone streets of Baltimore, Maryland's, bustling waterfront where he tries authentic ale on tap at the Wharf Rat, a historic sailor bar. Finally, Maxwell cruises the California coast where he soaks up the easy-going spirit and waterfront views at R10 Social House in Redondo Beach, California. He also revels in the iconic history of the Trident, a San Francisco Bay watering hole, where a visit from the Rolling Stones inspired the iconic cocktail, the tequila sunrise.
