Actress and singer Claudia Lee, who played Luther's love interest, "Bridget," during season 3 of Disney XD's "Zeke and Luther," returns to network television November 7, in a new recurring role on the CW series "Hart of Dixie." Lee has just finished filming her second episode of the show, which has grown steadily in viewers since it debuted in September, and has consistently beaten its Monday night lead-in, "Gossip Girl," in ratings.
"Hart of Dixie" stars Rachel Bilson ("The O.C.") as Dr. Zoe Hart, a recent medical school graduate who experiences culture shock, when she moves from New York to the small town of Bluebell, Alabama.
While trying to fit into her new surroundings, the fast-talking city girl faces personal and professional challenges, often involving her romantic rival, "Lemon Breeland," played by Jaime King. Fifteen-year-old Lee plays "Magnolia Breeland," Lemon's younger sister.
"Magnolia is a bit of a troublemaker," Lee said. "She's a daddy's girl who shows a different side whenever she's around her older sister. There are some interesting things that happen with her character that I can't talk about."
For Lee, playing a small-town teenager comes naturally, having grown up in Lafayette, Indiana. Despite being a newcomer to "Hart of Dixie," she said that she felt right at home, from the moment she first walked onto the set."Working with everyone has been a blast," she said. "Rachel Bilson is so sweet and down to earth, and Jaime King and I collaborated really well. When we were shooting, the director, Tom Amandes, said, ‘It's like you guys knew each other in a past life.'"King, a Hollywood veteran whose credits include "How I Met Your Mother," "Sin City" and "Gary Unmarried," called Lee a "shining light, incredibly wise beyond her years."Videos
