Presto, Australia's premier entertainment streaming service, today announced that Google Chromecast has taken the lead as Australia's favourite way to enjoy their blockbuster movies library. More than 20% of Presto views have been via Chromecast, since Presto's arrival on the device in July this year.
As an official Chromecast launch partner, Presto is offering a special one month free Presto subscription to any customer who purchased a Chromecast device in Australia since 28 May 2014. However, time is moving quickly and this special offer ends 31 August 2014.
On 17 August 2014, Presto unveiled its new 'all-you-can-eat' flat rate subscription price of $9.99 a month with no lock-in contract*, which has seen a massive increase in traffic to the Presto site, along with a huge spike in Presto subscriptions.
Shaun James, Director Presto & VOD, said, "Since launching Presto on Chromecast, we've had loads of great feedback from people enjoying Presto on the big screen, and now, with our new, simplified pricing, we're seeing an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from new subscribers. We're thrilled to be offering a free one month Presto subscription to customers who purchased a Chromecast device since its Australian launch, but wanted to remind them that this great offer ends soon."
