Christoph Waltz has won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds'.

Christoph Waltz studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Waltz's performing roots are in the theatre; playing in venues such as Schauspielhaus Zürich in Zurich, Burgtheater in Vienna, and the Salzburg Festival.
His portrayal of the "The Jew Hunter" in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds has been sweeping the awards circle, earning him the Best Actor Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, and a Best Supporting Actor award from the New York Film Critics Circle, the Boston Society of Film Critics, and the Los Angels Film Critics Association amongst other awards.
The 67th Golden Globe Awards is broadcast live on NBC from The Beverly Hilton. The awards ceremony will be seen in more than 160 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.
